Approach / Process
I’m an organizer by nature. Lists? Label makers? Color coded closets? Yep, I’m guilty of it. Not a typical trait of a creative but it’s become part of my process. Submerging myself in information, organizing my thoughts and searching for connections are all essential to my flow. I seek clarity and dig deep until I arrive at the source to create work with purpose and a solid foundation. Acknowledging problems and working towards solutions that serve higher ideals and support values.
Expertise / style
I follow design trends but rarely use them unless it has purpose. I strive for simplicity and functionality first, then add subtle details to convey style and personality. The nuance of language and visuals are what make the most impact.
objective / intention
“Do scary things.” This has been my mantra lately. The things that bring me the most fear, self doubt and a little anxiety always end up being the most rewarding. If I fail, it’s a learning experience. If I succeed, I know I can handle whatever comes next.
Personal / interests
I spend most of my free time doing things that involve climbing or yoga which inspires me to write and share my stories and introspections. And when I’m not exploring my own inner world, I like to travel the real one. Ask me about my solo trip to Italy!
